Winter ? ? ?

We took these pictures today!  All we were told about winter in Christchurch is about the "bone chilling' cold.  If we were to have one wish it would be that all the winters for the rest of our lives would be just like this one.  We are half way through our first winter in New Zealand, (the official start of winter here is June 1).  We did have 8 days that got cold with some snow and heaps of rain.  The lowest temperature that we have had is maybe 26 degrees (that's above 0).

We brought lots of cold weather clothes.  Elder Blackwell brought a heavy raincoat that he has worn twice.  Might have worn it more if we had to go tracting, but so far we haven't.

This is a short post because we lost one of our boys last week in a car accident and we want to give you more details about that.  We will do another post in the next couple of days.
This is in our front 'garden'. There is no end to a wide variety of this type of shrub.

That is a live butterfly.

That looks to be a lemon tree!

So, so Pretty!
